You can use standard and rechargeable 4 AAA alkaline batteries for your Turbolock TL-99 and YL-99. Let’s get the method you can try to replace these batteries:

1. Remove the external screws from the lock with a screwdriver.

2. Now remove the back cover.

3. Take the battery cover out by sliding it gently.

4. Use a knife or screwdriver to remove the batteries.

5. Install the new 4 AAA batteries and ensure their correct polarity. Now insert the battery pack.

6. Install the cover and secure the screws with a screwdriver. Don’t over-tighten it.

Turbolock TL-100 and TL-200 Battery replacement

You can use a standard 4 AA battery in your turbo lock TL-100 or TL-200. Let’s get how to replace the batteries:

1. Slide the back cover to remove it from the Turbolock.

2. Take out the old batteries and replace the new 4 AA batteries.
3. Slide down the back cover to reinstall it.

Turbolock TL-400 battery replacement

Though we can change or replace the entire battery of the above turbo lock model, turbo lock TL-400 doesn’t contain this option anymore. 

This is because it features a built-in lithium polymer and rechargeable battery. So there is no need to replace or change these batteries. You can simply recharge them as required.

So how can you recharge the turbo lock? Follow the below steps:

1. Take the provided screwdriver and unscrew the battery compartment cover. Then remove it from the Turbo Lock.

2. Turn off your Turbolock manually by sliding the Power switch. Do it before charging.
3. Take a USB cable(not provided) and connect one end to the wall outlet and another end to the charging port of the lock.

4. Once it has fully charged, disconnect the lock from the USB cable.
5. Slide again the power switch to turn on your Turbolock. 
6. Secure it with the screwdriver.
